Post Impressionism

post_impressionism_6Post impressionism was created very soon after impressionism and is the response to some impressionists who disagreed with the realistic depiction of light in impressionism. The movement was lead by Paul Cezanne, Paul Gauguing, Georges Scruat and most famously Vincent Van Gogh. The post impressionists were displeased with the triviality of subjects in impressionism. Although impressionists and post impressionists were often exhibited together they did not agree with each styles of work.
